Der Freitag - “Die neuen Schlafwandler” - Single Page - April 2022

For DER FREITAG, I had the honor of doing an almost full-page illu for the always super-beautifully-illustrated title of the debate section. Former "Cicero" editor-in-chief Christoph Schwennicke writes about the danger of sliding into another world war and how some german politicians nonchalantly overlook the risk of catastrophic escalation. He refers to the famous book "The Sleepwalkers" on the First World War, which we then included as a motif for the illu.

Für DER FREITAG hatte ich die Ehre, eine fast ganzseitige Illu für den immer super-schön-illustrierten Titel des Debattenteils machen zu dürfen. Der ehemalige „Cicero“-Chefredakteur Christoph Schwennicke schreibt über die Gefahr eines Hineingleitens in einen weiteren Weltkrieg und wie einige Politiker das Risiko einer katastrophalen Eskalation nonchalant übersehen. Er bezieht sich auf das berühmte Buch „Die Schlafwandler“ zum ersten Weltkrieg, was wir motivlich dann für die illu aufgenommen haben.
